D.C. on the silver screen
Few cities have made more cinematic appearances than Washington DC, from political thrillers and histories, to horror and comedy — all the genres are covered. We will visit famous sites around the city and relive those scenes. During this tour we will visit the Exorcist Steps in Georgetown, the Watergate Hotel, the Tidal Basin and the Kennedy Center, among others.
We all remember Forrest Gump delivering his speech alongside MLK or when Captain America meets Falcon at the Tidal Basin. These were of course shot right in the middle of DC. But you may not be as familiar with the sets for other screenplays. These include the Watergate Hotel, now a household name as the location of the greatest political scandal in US history and central to the movie classic All the President's Men. We’ll also explore the many locations in Georgetown, which feature in the horror blockbuster The Exorcist.
